"Ililibing siya bilang isang sundalo, bilang medal of valor winner, bilang isang pangulo."

**Bilang pangulo, marami siyang natulungan na ating mga kababayan**," said Marcos in an interview with Sandra Aguinaldo on Tuesday.
The former senator said his family only wants a burial fit for a soldier and a former president
"Ililibing siya bilang isang sundalo, bilang medal of valor winner, bilang isang pangulo at 'yan ang rules ng AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines)."
Marcos also said that it was up to Senate President Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III to appeal the hero's burial to President Rodrigo Duterte
Pimentel, a close ally of Duterte, plans to talk to Duterte to urge him to reconsider allowing the burial. Pimentel said "no court case will make somebody a hero."
"Siyempre, the Senate President puwede niya lapitan ang ating Pangulo. Nasa kanilang dalawa yan kung ano mapag-usapan nila," added Marcos.
