A father and his son, who often bond over buying lottery numbers, are over the moon after hitting a RM21.4 million jackpot from Sports Toto on 19 May
The duo is identified as 67-year-old and 42-year-old Sarawakians. The son works as a technician, reported New Straits Times.
According to them, they always share the numbers of their bets with each other whenever they encounter something special, such as getting number inspiration from a dream or spotting interesting numbers in real life.

"This round we intended to share a ticket by combining the number I got from a dream – 2717 – and my father's car registration number – 6500," said the son
"I saw many different types of fish in my dream and that was how I came out with my number. I guess combining my father's number has given us the luck to win the jackpot."
Their pair of winning numbers won them a whopping RM21,460,857.20.
"This is the best Father's Day present for both of us and we plan to share the newfound wealth with our family as well as to settle our debts," the son said while collecting the prize money in Kuala Lumpur
Based on the information on the Sports Toto website, the duo bought the lottery ticket at an outlet in Batu 7, Kuching.
Many netizens on social media congratulated the winners, while a few Facebook users who claimed to be from the same state as the winners said they are happy that their fellow Sarawakians took the windfall.
