Baby Dies After Car Crashes Into A Herd Of Cows In Pahang

An 11-month-old baby has died after the vehicle driven by her father collided with a herd of cows in Bera, Pahang
According to Bernama, the incident occurred around 9.40pm yesterday, 23 October, at KM49 of Jalan Kerayong-Simpang Kepayang.
Bera district police chief Superintendent Zulkiflee Nazir said the family was travelling from Kepayang to Kerayong when the tragedy occurred.
"When they reached the scene, a herd of cows suddenly crossed the road from left to right, causing the driver to lose control and hit the animals before skidding onto the shoulder of the road," he said in a statement today, 24 October.

She suffered multiple injuries, including trauma to the head.
Zulkiflee added that the girl's 21-year-old mother, who was in the front passenger seat holding the baby, suffered a head injury, while the 22-year-old driver escaped unhurt.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
The baby's body has been sent to the Bera Hospital Forensics Unit for a post-mortem examination.
