A resident in Ayer Molek, Melaka, has raised serious safety concerns after a large group of youths gathered outside his home, engaging in activities linked to illegal street racing
The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, has sparked debate over the boldness of young motorcyclists in residential neighbourhoods.
On Facebook, Muhammad Noor Izami Ishak, known online as Izami Gadget, uploaded footage showing numerous motorcyclists loitering in front of his home.
The video shows several individuals removing their motorcycle registration plates; a common tactic among illegal racers to evade identification by authorities or CCTV.

The homeowner expressed growing anxiety, noting that the group's behaviour seemed deliberately provocative
According to Harian Metro, many of the motorcycles had modified, high-decibel exhausts that caused significant noise pollution. The homeowner noted that several youths wore face masks — resembling balaclavas — which added an intimidating atmosphere to the gathering.
When the resident attempted to record the disturbance, the group did not disperse immediately.
Instead, those with concealed identities and missing number plates reportedly revved their engines even louder in a blatant act of defiance.
The aggressive response left residents feeling vulnerable in their own homes, prompting the original poster to seek higher intervention.
In response to the escalating nuisance, a formal police report was lodged to alert authorities to the location and frequency of these gatherings
The complainant also tagged Duyong Assemblyman Mohd Noor Helmy in his post, seeking his help to address the persistent issue.

This incident follows a rising pattern of motorcycle disturbances in Melaka
Similar reports have previously emerged from areas like Klebang and the coastal roads, where the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have conducted various operations, such as Op Samseng Jalanan, to curb the rise of illegal racing.
