A Team Is Looking For Malaysian Trekkers To Join Them For A World Record Attempt In Nepal
You're invited to join them as they attempt to journey into the Guinness World Records!

The Malaysian adventure platform is recruiting 100 Malaysian participants to join their trekking expedition, named **Expedition100**, to **Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)**. It will take place from **26 November till 7 December 2017**.
**They already have 80 confirmed participants as of today.**

The journey begins at Kathmandu, where trekkers will be traveling to Pokhara via bus. The trekking starts at Siwai, and will take about **four days** to reach the base camp.
The aim of the expedition is to express unity and appreciation for Malaysia
Through the seven days of trekking, Expedition100 hopes to remind the trekkers and other Malaysians to be **grateful** as a nation that we are blessed. With trekkers from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, the combined effort aims to reach the base camp as an expression of **unity and solidarity as a nation**.
"We hope that this expedition would remind people to **slow down our pace of life, be grateful, and appreciate what we have been blessed with as a nation,**" said Shariman Said, Expedition Leader of Expedition100 and co-founder of NEX Adventure.
The proceeds from the expedition will be channelled to a charity in Nepal.

It's also an attempt to set a Guinness World Record
According to NEX Adventure, this is also an official attempt to put Malaysia on the pages of the Guinness Book of Record as the **highest number of participants from a single nation to reach Annapurna Base Camp**.
The application with Guinness World Records is still pending at time of publishing.

**Tan Sri Khalid Yunus**, an avid and experienced mountaineer, is the advisor for Expedition100. He has led and was part of two Everest summit bids. He has also trekked to Everest Base Camp three times and has conquered mountains in Nepal, France, Scotland, and Tanzania.

Expedition100 is led by **Shariman Said** (Expedition Lead of [NEX Adventure](https://www.facebook.com/groups/NEXadventures/)), co-led by **Lockman Mohd Ali** (President of [Outbound Adventure Crew](https://www.facebook.com/OutboundAdventureCrew/?ref=br_rs)), **Herlin** (President of Southern Eagle Adventure), and members from NEX Adventure.
NEX Adventure was founded in 2015 and since then it has served more than 1,000 adventure travellers from Southeast Asian countries to explore the great outdoors. Its mission is to organise, connect adventure seekers with one another, and embark on new adventures together.
Annapurna is the 10th highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,091m above sea level
The base camp is situated at **4,130m above sea level**. It is one of the most popular treks in the world due to its breathtaking view of the Annapurna massif and river valleys. You'll be journeying through diverse landscapes ranging from paddy fields, rhododendron forests, quaint Gurung villages, to snowcap peaks.
