This includes upskilling and reskilling programmes, technical and non-technical module development, and clear career pathways for Air Selangor employees and vendors.
The collaboration also opens up opportunities for industrial training and talent development for UNISEL and STDC students in water industry-related fields.
"UNISEL is committed to supporting Air Selangor's efforts in enhancing workforce competencies in the water industry through our academic expertise and training facilities.
"This collaboration also benefits students by providing real-world industry experience," shared Associate Professor Dr Hamdan Mohd Salleh, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNISEL.
Meanwhile, Dr Harizal Hamid, Chief Executive Officer of STDC added, "STDC is honoured to be a strategic partner in developing technical skills for Air Selangor's workforce and vendors."
The MoC with CSSB focuses on implementing alternative water supply solutions in strategic industrial zones in Pulau Indah
Key initiatives include the development of a Water Reclamation Plant, Seawater Desalination Plan, and an In-situ Desalination Plant.
This project will be driven through the formation of a Joint Steering Committee tasked with overseeing strategic direction and feasibility studies.
Air Selangor will provide technical expertise and regulatory support, while CSSB as the main development partner in Pulau Indah will fully finance studies, designs, and the construction of related facilities.
"This partnership marks a significant step in securing sustainable water resources for part of the development in Pulau Indah. With Air Selangor's technical leadership and our commitment to funding, we are confident in
delivering a resilient water supply system that meets future demands," said Mohd Zapi Abdullah, Director of CSSB.
