Yesterday, the lady took to [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1016670495132050&set=a.242532372545870.63982.100003673279350&type=3&theater) to post a receipt of a recent meal at Nasi Kandar Pelita's Jalan Ampang outlet.
In the post, she highlighted an extra charge of RM15 by the restaurant – **allegedly for cleaning up vomit after one of her friends threw up on the table.**
"**SPREAD THE WORD: DON'T PUKE IN PELITA (it costs RM15),**" the caption of the post reads.
She said that the post was not meant to criticise the famous chain, but to show people how this method can stop people from vomitting at restaurants

"**As far I'm concerned, this post is not to bash Pelita. I'm a regular and I found that it is a funny and brilliant idea to stop people from puking,**" she said.
The post went viral on social media and netizens were amused by the extra charge

Nasi Kandar Pelita caught wind of a Facebook repost of the incident and has filed a police report to protect itself from any accusations

In the report, a representative from Nasi Kandar Pelita said he saw a repost of the incident on a Facebook page called [We Are Malaysian Indians](https://www.facebook.com/We-Are-Malaysian-Indians-1475802372639472/), albeit with a much different caption from the original post.
"**Dont let your children puke in Pelita Restaurant, it is chargeable…macam macam GST pun ada,**" said the page.
The representative also explained how the incident unfolded. According to him, a group of six came into the outlet drunk at around four in the morning. **Two of them then allegedly threw up on the table and made a mess.**
**As a result, the outlet had to discard the tableware which had traces of vomit on it.**
Another Facebook page, Penang Kini, has claimed that the lady and her group of friends are trying to "defame" the restaurant chain

*The caption is translated below:*
"**They can spend so much on liquor to get drunk, what's the problem with paying extra charges for causing inconveniences to the workers?**
They had to clean the vomit and throw out the plates and cups. If a kid throws up in the shop, there will be no charges incurred."
The lady's boyfriend has come out to clear the air. He said that We Are Malaysian Indians had falsely accused them and misled the public with the repost caption.

He insisted that **they didn't make a big fuss over the extra charge. Instead, they were amused and paid the bill without any complaints.**
"We called for the bill and my friend noticed the "Muntah Cleaning" on our bills. All of us burst into laughter as this is the first time we've come across such charges.
We paid Nasi Kandar Pelita RM15 without complaining or whatsoever. We had a good laugh about this matter until we found out that this post went viral.
**Nasi Kandar Pelita made a police report regarding this issue, thanks to this group "We Are Malaysian Indians" for misleading people in the first place with their false accusation and statement. The police report has NOTHING TO DO with us,**" [he said](https://www.facebook.com/benedict.lim.16/posts/1518956591461623?match=bXVudGFoIGNsZWFuaW5nLGNsZWFuaW5nLG11bnRhaA%3D%3D).
