Police have arrested a 25-year-old man to assist with investigations into the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy in Kuantan, Pahang
According to Harian Metro, Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the unemployed suspect was detained at his home at 11.15am on Tuesday, 4 November.
The incident reportedly took place around 8pm the night before at a row of shoplots. While the victim was in the area, the suspect allegedly stopped him and led him to a nearby bushy area, where the sexual assault is believed to have occurred.
"We are still conducting investigations, and the victim will be referred to the hospital for further medical examination," said Yahaya.

Police have submitted a remand application as the investigation continues.
