200,000 Yolanda Victims Didn’t Receive Aid From Former Administration
"Victims of Yolanda in Region 8 and Region 6 were not given the assistance needed."

DSWD did a reassessment on the former administration's efforts during the aftermath of the typhoon and discovered that 200,000 claimants were not given emergency shelter either.
The probable reasons for these irregularities are 1) there was no available relocation site and 2) the former administration did not support certain local government officials
"Ang main problem natin with Yolanda is **while we have provided more than one million emergency shelter assistance to the victims**, there are around 200,000 claimants who expressed the complaint that they were victims of Yolanda in Region 8 and Region 6 but they were not given the assistance needed," said Taguiwalo.
"There were people who were victims of Yolanda but who were not part of the political groupings of particular local government officials so they were excluded. We have that a lot," she added.

The DSWD doesn't want any form of corruption just like the President Duterte
"We are doing our best that the Yolanda experience in terms of delayed provision of emergency assistance should not be repeated," said Taguiwalo during the press conference in Malacañang.

"**We don't want any form of irregularity or corruption, and the President was very clear about it**," she added.
