2 Gunmen Open Fire On Border Agency Commander In Early-Morning Targeted Attack

The commander of the Malaysian Customs and Border Protection Agency in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah, was attacked by two armed men early this morning, 25 February

According to Utusan Malaysia, Senior Assistant Commissioner Mohd Nasaruddin M Nasir escaped unharmed from the attempted shooting at around 6.30am.

The report stated that two unidentified men on a motorcycle reportedly fired at Mohd Nasaruddin while he was on his way to perform his prayers.

He was reportedly inside a vehicle when the suspects approached and fired two shots in his direction.

"The suspects then fled the scene. The victim, however, did not sustain any injuries," a source said.

Police are currently verifying further details of the incident.
