UPDATE at 8PM on 25 April: Yap Xiao Tong has contacted the police to report her safety, emphasising she left home voluntarily due to family issues and was not missing.
According to Sin Chew Daily, Yap said she intends to live independently and has no intention of returning home for the time being.
Previously, the police issued a missing person notice for a 19-year-old woman who was last seen at 6.30pm on Tuesday, 22 April
A police report was filed at the Jinjang police station. The missing individual, Yap Xiao Tong, was last seen at No. 331, Jalan Jambu Berasa 3, Jinjang Selatan, Kuala Lumpur.
The police urged anyone with information to contact investigating officer Sergeant Rosdi Yusof at +6012-6580597, or call the Jinjang police station at +603-62572222.
