A user shared on Instagram how convenient and user-friendly 7-Eleven's Seven ATMs in Japan are for Malaysian tourists, especially those with Maybank and CIMB cards.

The video demonstrated just how simple it is to withdraw money in Japan using these ATMs.

Here's how you can withdraw money in Japan with your Malaysian debit card:

1. Before your trip, enable 'Overseas Withdrawal' in your banking app
2. Locate a 7-Eleven with a Seven ATM
3. Insert your card
4. Select your language of choice
5. Proceed with your withdrawal

Commenters also shared their tips and experiences with the service

"That last part was spot on. Make sure to choose yen, not ringgit. You'll get charged an extra 4% if you choose ringgit," one commenter said.

"Their ATMs make nice sounds. Unlike our ATMs, which sound like vital signs monitors in hospitals, perfectly matched to the dying balance in our accounts," another joked.
