After much anticipation, Village Grocer has officially opened a brand-new outlet at Hextar World, Empire City in Petaling Jaya
Hextar World, which officially opened its doors in November 2025, has been gradually filling up with new tenants since.
If you're around the Damansara Perdana area, you can now add this spot to your next grocery run.
The produce section is packed with fruits and vegetables flown in from Australia, the US, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand, alongside local produce from Cameron Highlands
There's also a proper meat and seafood section if you're planning to cook something decent at home, along with loads of imported items, organic options, and health-focused stuff for vegan, keto, or gluten-free diets.
There's also a deli and ready-to-eat section for those "I cannot cook today" moments, with baked goods and easy meals you can just grab and go. Always appreciated.
Heads up though — the wine section isn't up yet, but it'll be coming soon.
That said, everything else is already very well stocked. Snacks, fruits, spices, veggies, pantry staples… basically if you walk in without a list, you'll still leave with a full basket.
They're running opening promos for BITES members, and signing up is free
On opening day today, 6 February, early birds can score exclusive goodie bags with minimum spend, and there are weekly Friday rewards happening throughout February and early March.
You'll also earn points as you shop, plus there are some opening-day freebies like reusable bags and even plants if you hit certain spending tiers.
One small but nice detail: this Village Grocer is plastic-free at checkout, so bring your own bags if you remember — or grab one of their reusable ones if you don't.
