If Upin & Ipin was a big part of your childhood (or your kids' daily screen time), here's some feel-good news: Malaysia's favourite animated twins are officially getting their very own theme park, and it's happening at Genting Highlands
As Les' Copaque Production celebrates its 20th anniversary, the iconic Malaysian animation studio has announced its most ambitious project yet: the Upin & Ipin Theme Park, coming soon to King's Park, Genting Highlands.

According to Bernama, the announcement was made during LC Xpo 2025, a four-day creative festival held at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, where Les' Copaque signed a partnership with King's Park Management Sdn Bhd.
King's Park Genting Highlands is shaping up to be a next-generation destination that blends tourism, entertainment, lifestyle, retail, and wellness all in one place
The 150-acres site is being developed as an integrated hub that will eventually function as Genting's central business and entertainment district, complete with shopping boulevards, dining areas, attractions, hotels, and more, all set against the cool mountain backdrop Genting is known for.
According to King's Park Genting Highlands, the retail space is scheduled to open in 2026, followed by hotels, residences, attractions, the theme park, outdoor activities, and many more.

While full details remain under wraps and there's no official opening date just yet, the upcoming park promises immersive attractions inspired by the world of Upin & Ipin
The goal is to bring the stories to life in a way that blends play, culture, and creativity, while celebrating a homegrown animation that's become a cultural icon across Southeast Asia and beyond.
According to the New Straits Times, Les' Copaque founder and managing director Datuk Burhanuddin Md Radzi said what started as a small dream back in 2005 has grown into something far bigger than they ever imagined.
The theme park, he said, marks a new chapter — one that allows fans to step directly into the universe they've watched for two decades.

Meanwhile, Darren Yang, director of King's Park management, described the collaboration as an honour, adding that Upin & Ipin represents Malaysian creativity on a global stage, and the park aims to reflect exactly that.
