We were at Pavilion Bukit Jalil over the weekend, and honestly, we weren't ready for what went down

The hype started brewing around 1pm.
Crowds were already camping near the main entrance, everyone clutching their phones like they knew something was about to happen. Suddenly, a mysterious black van rolled up, decked out with stickers saying, "Jangan Cakap Abang Tak Payung."
Straightaway, people swarmed closer, phones in the air, shouting guesses about who was inside. We even asked some people there if it could be iShowSpeed and they replied, "no lah, it's iShowSparks!"
The energy was wild.

Just when we thought the star was in the van… a kapcai showed up instead!
Out of nowhere, a kapcai zoomed in with a rider and a masked passenger — full helmet, balaclava, bodyguards in tow. The crowd instantly pivoted and chased after them.
We had one question in our heads: "Eh, siapa ni? Who's this superstar hiding behind the mask?"

Then, we noticed that the mystery man was handing out something to people

Instead of heading straight inside, this "celebrity" started giving out small slips of paper.
Everyone was desperate to get one, hands reaching out everywhere. From the little glimpse we managed to get, they looked like raffle tickets. But raffle for what? We were about to find out.

And then it happened. Helmet off, mask down — boom! It was none other than…

…Nigel Sparks, local rapper and founder of The Cap City.
The crowd erupted. People were screaming, shoving, and snapping selfies like their lives depended on it.

As Nigel entered the building, everyone tried to sneak a selfie in with the rapper.
Nigel stayed cool though, even stopping for a big group photo before heading inside Pavilion Bukit Jalil. The hype was so real, it looked like a mini parade following him through the mall.

Turns out, this was the U Mobile X The Cap City Payung Tour 2025

Yup, the whole spectacle was part of the Payung Tour, a collab between U Mobile and The Cap City. In between all the chaos, we managed to corner Nigel for a quick chat.
He explained, "The whole point of this tour is to meet up, have real connections instead of just being online, share stories, and to meet friends."
This encapsulates what the Payung Tour is all about — to connect with the community.
Over the past few months, the Payung Tour has hit many major cities, and it's Nigel and The Cap City's way of having a real, authentic connection with fans on the ground, while also giving back. In fact, the word 'payung' itself symbolises shelter, protection, and looking out for one another, which is what the Payung Tour is all about.

And those mysterious raffle tickets? They were actually codes to redeem limited-edition merch from The Cap City x U Mobile collab.
"These are all limited-edition, not for sale," said Nigel, explaining that only lucky fans who caught him and the team could get their hands on these exclusive pieces.

- November: Johor, Perlis, and Singapore
See you all there. Jangan cakap abang tak payung!
