1 Utama Shopping Centre is making it easier than ever to recycle your glass bottles and jars
The mall has just introduced dedicated glass recycling bins at its 1RECYCLING CENTRE (B2 Highstreet) for shoppers, and at the Refuse Chamber (GF Centre Court) for tenants.

Shoppers can drop off clean glass bottles and jars, from wine to sauce containers, daily from 10am to 10pm
Tenants have access to 24/7 recycling bins at the Refuse Chamber (GF Centre Court), already used by F&B outlets such as ANTE, Since 1939, and Wonjo Buanjib.

Once collected, the glass is sorted and cleaned in Shah Alam before being sent to Johor Bahru, where it's melted down and remade into new bottles and containers
Just remember to recycle responsibly — clean glass bottles and jars only. Avoid ceramics, mirrors, light bulbs, or dirty containers.

Glass is 100% and infinitely recyclable, yet remains one of the most under-recycled materials in Malaysia
Since the campaign's soft launch in October 2025, 1 Utama has already diverted 1,509kg of glass away from landfills.
Here's where to find the recycling boxes:
– 1RECYCLING CENTRE, B2 Highstreet (shoppers)
– Refuse Chamber, GF Centre Court (tenants)
