TikTok Shop recently hosted its Creator Icon event at Bangsar Nexus Connection

Held from 10am to 4pm on 20 Nov, the mentorship initiative, themed "Are you the next Creator Icon?", was specifically designed to equip participants with the tools needed to build a sustainable digital business in the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape.

The TikTok Shop Creator Icon programme was launched in line with their commitment to accelerate Malaysia's digital economic growth.

By nurturing a pool of skilled affiliate creators, TikTok Shop aims to help them build sustainable livelihoods while simultaneously supporting the growth and success of local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

A key highlight of the event was the reveal of the mentors, a lineup featuring some of Malaysia's most successful and influential TikTok creators

The esteemed mentors for the TikTok Shop Creator Icon Program included stars like Khairulaming, Pinn Yang, Almiyaz, Hello Sonia, LihYing (Neo the Nyonya), and Nynabukater.

Attendees got to participate in discussions where the mentors shared valuable insights and crucial lessons learned throughout their own successful journeys with TikTok Shop.

The program focused heavily on building a solid foundation for digital success where participants received hands-on training across key business pillars

This included:

  • Personal Branding: Learning how to establish a unique and memorable online identity.
  • Content Strategy: Developing effective, engaging content plans that drive affiliate sales.
  • Platform Policies: Understanding the rules and best practices to ensure long-term sustainability on the platform.
