If your idea of the perfect weekend morning involves wagging tails, wet noses, and the smell of freshly bathed doggos, you're in luck — KL Pooch Resort & Rescue is looking for 20 volunteers to help out this Saturday, 10 May

And yes, your "payment" will come in the form of enthusiastic doggy kisses — and maybe a little mud.

This isn't some atas animal spa — it's a full-on rescue centre with over 300 rescued pooches, and they've got tails to chase and kennels to clean

Volunteers will be helping with things like:

  • Bathing dogs
  • Cleaning up play areas
  • Gardening around the grounds
  • Socialising with the pups so they learn to love humans again

Watch this cute video of one of the doggos enjoying its bath time:

Basically, be ready to roll up your sleeves and get a little messy — in the best way possible

Location:
Taman Tempua Bistari, Kalumpang,
44100 Kerling, Selangor

Time:
9am – 1pm

Date:
Saturday, 10 May

Drop @klpooch a message on Instagram to book your spot!

Not free this Saturday? No worries — you can still help in other ways.

If you can't make it this weekend, keep an eye on KL Pooch's socials for future Volunteer Saturdays.

The best part is that there's something for everyone. Whether you're an animal whisperer, a spreadsheet queen, or a TikTok genius, KL Pooch needs you:

  • Got camera skills? They need cute dog pics for adoption posts.
  • Handy with tools? Help build enclosures and fix up doggy digs.
  • Love organising? There's always stuff to sort, label, and arrange Marie Kondo style.
  • Creative online? Help run their social media or redesign their website.
  • Prefer to help from home? You can write dog profiles, sew toys, or help fundraise.

Whatever your strength is, there's a four-legged friend who'll benefit from it.
