If you've ever driven past vast oil palm estates and wondered what lies beyond them, SD Guthrie is now letting you explore them for yourself

That's right, the company officially launched ELAEIS GARDENS, a rebranded eco-destination that turns their traditionally private estates into spaces designed for you to explore.
For a long time, oil palm estates were not even considered as a choice for a weekend outing or a short getaway

But with ELAEIS GARDENS, SD Guthrie has transformed these landscapes into accessible destinations guided by four main pillars: Stay, Dine, Golf, and Experience.
The idea is to give you a place to unwind, learn, and reconnect with nature, all while showing you how palm oil production works.
At the heart of the concept is the philosophy of Di Sisi Alam.
"Guided by our philosophy of Di Sisi Alam, we are opening our plantation landscapes as places for learning, connection, and discovery," said Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad, Group Managing Director of SD Guthrie.
It reflects the company's belief that large-scale industrial operations can coexist with the environment.
The name "Elaeis" comes from Elaeis guineensis, the scientific genus of the oil palm

The branding itself balances structure and softness, symbolising a shift from closed estates to garden-like environments that welcome you.
The flagship location for ELAEIS GARDENS is Carey Island in Selangor

The Carey Island Golf Club, built in 1930, features an 18-hole golf course.
