Perodua Myvi And 17 Other Cars Malaysians Voted For As The Best Of The Year

The people have spoken!

Hosted by local automotive website Carlist.my, the People's Choice Awards have ended and the winners for 'Car Of The Year' have been chosen.

By the time voting lines closed on 11 November, more than 7,000 people had placed their votes for a chance to walk away with RM30,000 worth of prizes.

Hamish Stone, CEO of iCar Asia Limited, commented that, "Top marks to all the car brands as it was a very tough decision process for our audience. This is resulted from the votes our official scrutineers had calculated."

In a total of 18 categories, voters determined which cars they thought were the most deserving models in Malaysia in 2018

In terms of brands, Honda topped the list with four Gold awards

"We are very happy to receive the recognition from the public and on behalf of Honda Malaysia, I would like to thank Malaysians for their continuous support and trust in the Honda brand," said President and COO of Honda Malaysia Roslan Abdullah.

For the first time ever, 5 models were chosen for this year's Editors' Choice Awards, which recognised the best cars in the eyes of motoring experts and journalists

The winners are:

  • Outstanding Design – Mazda 6
  • Most Family-friendly Interior – Volvo XC40
  • Durability – Isuzu D-Max
  • Accessible Performance – Volkswagen Passat
  • Connectivity and Infotainment – Proton X70
