The Malaysian media industry is set to gather once again for the much-anticipated MSA Festival of Media 2025

Organised by the Media Specialists Association (MSA), this year's edition carries the theme 'Bridging Progress', encapsulating the industry's journey through resilience, reinvention, and connection.
Designed as a high-impact, one-day experience, the festival will convene professionals across media, marketing, data, and creative fields to discuss how people, platforms, and purpose intersect to shape the future.
From solo keynotes to panels, fireside chats to live debates, the day is built around one powerful idea: Crafting Connections – The Art and Science of Meaningful Engagement.
It will be taking place on 14 August at the Sheraton Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
Here's a sneak peek of what attendees can expect at this year's festival

Kicking off the day is an inspiring keynote by Jason Lai, Principal Conductor of Singapore's Yong Siew Toh Conservatory. His session, 'Connected in Rhythm: Lessons from the Orchestra,' will draw parallels between orchestras and organisations, highlighting how alignment, listening, and shared intent are key to both musical and business success.
Another highlight will come from Tier 1 sponsor HEPMIL Malaysia, who will host a 90-minute masterclass titled 'Made-In-Culture: Goodbye Virality, Hello Viscosity.' This session challenges the industry's obsession with virality, arguing instead for cultural "stickiness", resulting in campaigns that linger, grow, and truly matter.
The session will wrap up with a provocative panel, 'The Culture Shift – What Scares Us Most?' featuring creators, marketers, and provocateurs dissecting the fears and frontiers shaping modern culture.
"This year's festival invites us to look beyond recognition. It's about movement — of people, of ideas, of innovation," said Jo Yau, Organising Chairperson

"We want every attendee to leave feeling connected, recharged, and ready to help build what's next," she added.
Tickets are now available at RM1,300 (HRDC-claimable) and RM1,000 (non-HRDC). Seats are limited, and early registration is highly encouraged.
As a bonus, all Festival ticket holders will receive complimentary access to the MSA Awards Dinner on 15 August, celebrating the best campaigns, teams, and talents in the industry.
The MSA Festival of Media 2025 is made possible with the support of HEPMIL Malaysia (Tier 1), alongside sponsors Blis, Google, Hivestack, Tyroo, Nexxen, Ogury, and Social Video Lab — all united in the belief that progress comes through partnership.
