It was a day of pure celebration for the children of Institusi Sinar Harapan Tuanku Ampuan Najihah in Seremban

Thanks to McDonald's and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), the home came alive with balloons, birthday cake, and the sound of laughter.
The celebration is part of the ninth edition of McDonald's & RMHC Community Month, organised in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare (JKM)

Since its launch in 2017, the annual month-long campaign has been dedicated to celebrating children, including orphans to those with special needs. This year, nearly 6,000 children from more than 120 welfare institutions and orphanages nationwide were treated to McDonald's-style birthday parties.
"What makes this year even more meaningful is our collaboration with JKM, which allows us to reach communities more effectively and extend support to children who truly need it," said Hajjah Shamsidar Yahya, Corporate Communications Director of McDonald's Malaysia and Deputy Secretary of RMHC Malaysia.
JKM also expressed its gratitude, with Rosmahwati Ishak, Deputy Director-General (Operations) thanking McDonald's Malaysia for its consistent commitment to the welfare of the people, especially children in need.
At the heart of it all, the sight of children laughing over balloons and birthday cake showed how the simplest moments can mean the most <3
RMHC also sponsored a brand-new Sensory Integration Therapy Room at the institution

Equipped with specialised tools and guided by trained therapists, the facility will provide up to 120 therapy sessions each month for children with autism, ADHD, and other sensory or cognitive challenges.
This will directly benefit a total of 96 children at the home, while nearby Community-Based Rehabilitation Centres (PDK) will also gain access. Beyond that, the therapy room will serve as a training hub, giving more teachers and therapists exposure to early intervention methods.
They are contributing RMSR valued at RM50,000 to be installed at TSH, TAN

This ensures more children can receive the support they need.
"RMHC is committed to delivering impactful support for children. Through the Sensory Therapy Room, we hope to empower children with special needs to be more confident, independent, and able to unlock their full potential," said Mohd Nasri Bin Mohd Nordin, General Manager of RMHC Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Khairunnisa Zainal, Principal of Rumah Taman Sinar Harapan Tuanku Ampuan Najihah, expressed her gratitude.
"We are truly honoured to be part of this year's Community Month programme. The presence of McDonald's and RMHC has brought so much happiness to our children, while the therapy room will make a lasting impact on their development," she said.
Beyond this initiative, RMHC continues to support communities nationwide through its four core programmes:
- Ronald McDonald Houses
- Ronald McDonald Sensory Rooms
- Gift of Smile
- Back-to-School Packs
Each programme is designed to provide holistic support in the areas of welfare, health, and education for children.
