Big news for panda lovers! Zoo Negara has officially opened its Giant Panda Conservation Centre (GPCC), welcoming the adorable panda pair Chen Xing and Xiao Yue to the country.

The pandas were officially introduced on 10 January by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in a ceremony attended by key officials including Selangor Menteri Besar Dato Seri Amirudin Shari, Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup, and Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing.

This marks a milestone in Malaysia's conservation efforts, highlighting the importance of protecting endangered species through international cooperation.

The GPCC has been upgraded to ensure the pandas' welfare while making sure visitors enjoy a comfortable experience

And now, after months of anticipation, Malaysians can finally meet Chen Xing and Xiao Yue in person!

To make this debut even sweeter, Zoo Negara is offering 50% off child walk-in tickets (ages 3 to 12) from 11 January to 24 January, in conjunction with the panda introduction ceremony and the festive season

Regular child tickets are normally priced between RM15.20 and RM18.

So, grab the kids, bring your cameras, and get ready for some serious panda cuteness. Chen Xing and Xiao Yue are waiting to steal your hearts at Zoo Negara!
