LEGO might just be one of the most fun ways to celebrate Lunar New Year
To welcome the Year of the Horse, the LEGO Group has rolled out its latest Lunar New Year collection, complete with moving horses, crackling firecrackers, lucky cats, and a full-on interactive pop-up experience happening in Malaysia.
Leading this year's festive lineup is the LEGO Spring Festival Galloping Horse Canvas, a 1,650-piece set that doubles as both an artwork and a kinetic display.

At first glance, it resembles a traditional brush-style painting. But turn the handle, and the horses literally gallop out of the canvas, a clever nod to the blessing of 'success upon arrival'.
It's dramatic, oddly soothing, and honestly feels like something you'd proudly display in your living room all year.

If you prefer something a little louder (in spirit), the LEGO Fortune Firecracker brings the festive chaos
Press a button, and it flips between two scenes: fireworks lighting up the night sky and people welcoming the God of Fortune.
You can even drop LEGO pieces inside to create that familiar crackling sound when shaken. No actual smoke. No angry neighbours.

Beyond the big-ticket sets, LEGO's also leaning hard into classic Lunar New Year icons this year
- A LEGO Fortune Master dressed in red and gold, surrounded by coins and ang pow
- A LEGO Lucky Cat with a waving paw (yes, it actually moves)
- Horses, bamboo, orchids, plum blossoms — all recreated as display-worthy LEGO builds for adults who want festive vibes without maintenance

Basically, if you've ever wanted your CNY décor to be luckier and dust-free, this is your moment.
From 5 to 22 February, LEGO is turning Sunway Pyramid's LG2 Blue Concourse into a festive play zone with its Gallop Into Playful Horizons event
Visitors get a mission card and move through four activity stations inside an oriental-inspired LEGO garden: building koi fish for luck, matching tiles with friends, reconnecting 'reunion routes', and leaving wishes on a communal tree.
Kids under 12 get an exclusive LEGO Make & Take Horse, while adults can score vouchers.
Other things to keep an eye out for include free ang pow grocery bags, vouchers, limited-edition LEGO sets with a minimum spend, LEGO God of Fortune mascot appearances, and lion dance performances on selected weekends.
