To celebrate the start of Ramadan, Khairul Aming went live for 12 hours on TikTok Shop at his viral Rembayung restaurant
In the spirit of community and generosity that's synonymous with the season, the non-stop livestream featured a total of 14 local brands in an experience that felt like a mega digital bazaar.
The result? A total sale of 51,700 local products, worth up to RM2.3 million in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), alongside 5.42 million views, woah!
Throughout the stream, KA rotated between different "stations" within Rembayung, each showcasing curated products, creating the feel of walking from one virtual gerai to another.
There were also special cash giveaways for buyers who checked out their shopping carts during the livestream, as well as the chance to receive KA's exclusive Sampul Duit Raya, which was available only during the session.
And as an official mentor for the Creator Icon programme, KA was joined by several of his mentees, each managing different segments and product stations during the stream.
