Takaful IKHLAS has just launched a supplementary plan, known as IKHLAS Lestari. The plan, or rider, allows the public to contribute to community development in a sustainable, Shariah-compliant manner.

IKHLAS Lestari is part of the IKHLAS Barakah House (IBH) initiative, a Shariah-compliant fundraising platform supporting Value-Based Intermediation for Takaful (VBiT).

Funds collected through this plan will be channelled into five key areas: education, economy, community, health, and the environment.

According to Takaful IKHLAS President & CEO Wan Ahmad Najib Wan Ahmad Lotfi, IKHLAS Lestari aims to offer comprehensive protection while benefiting the community

"IKHLAS Lestari was introduced as an innovative solution to address social challenges, environmental issues, and promote sustainable practices.

"With contributions as low as RM10 per month, the public can join Takaful IKHLAS and IBH in fostering inclusive and sustainable social development," he said at the IKHLAS Lestari launch event.

To boost public awareness of IKHLAS Lestari, the takaful provider introduced Skuad Lestari, a team of Takaful IKHLAS employees and agency representatives.

The squad will first operate in the capital before expanding nationwide, introducing IKHLAS Lestari and promoting its benefits. It will also represent Takaful IKHLAS in community programmes and activities.

By joining IKHLAS Lestari, contributors support IBH and social sustainability efforts while receiving takaful protection through their enrolled basic coverage plan

In line with IBH's motto, 'Empowering Lives Together', funds raised through IKHLAS Lestari this year will go to hospitals to aid in the treatment and specialised care of childhood cancer patients. At the launch event, Takaful IKHLAS also donated RM10,000 to the National Cancer Council (MAKNA) to support cancer awareness efforts.

As a commitment to sustainability and community welfare, Takaful IKHLAS also organised a Hari Raya donation programme for underprivileged families in Lembah Pantai.

"We hope this initiative eases the burden on those in need and helps them prepare for Syawal. It aligns with our goal of enabling Takaful IKHLAS participants to give back while strengthening ties with the community," said Wan Ahmad Najib.
