Does RM700 a month sound too little or too much to spend on rent? What kind of properties can you rent in Malaysia with a budget of RM700?
Taking inspiration from [Buzzfeed's article of properties one can rent with USD1,000](https://www.buzzfeed.com/juliegerstein/heres-what-1000-a-month-in-rent-will-get-you-in-all-50?utm_term=.biJ9g671o#.lyQjoOaG6) across the US, we looked up on local rental sites on the kind of properties we can rent with RM700 in Malaysia.
Here some of the properties that are on rent for RM700 in different parts of Malaysia:

1. A spacious, three-year-old bungalow in Kluang
**Area:** Located about 3.5km from the Hospital Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom, the Kluang general hospital and about 6km away from the Kluang town.

**Size:** 5,450 square feet
*This house could be a good fit for families looking for a spacious yet affordable space to rent, but it may not be the best choice for young working individuals who are looking for a place that's easily accessible and is in the centre of everything.*

2. This semi-D house that's located about ten minutes away from Taiping town

**Area:** The [house](http://www.mudah.my/3887sf+SEMI+DETACHED+corner+sty+storey+TMN+BUKIT+MAS+TAIPING-55713213.htm) is just a stone's throw away from grocery stores, schools, the railway station, and eateries. The Perak state museum is only about 10 minutes away from the house.
**The property:** It is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom semi detached house that comes three air-conditioning units.
**Size:** 3,887 square feet
*While it can be considered cheap for such a large space, note that the property is 15 years old and may not be in mint condition.*
3. A five-bedroom house in Butterworth that's 10 minutes away from the Penang bridge
**Area:** Located close to clinics, eateries, mosques, and convenience stores in a strategic location.

**Size:** 3,199 square feet.
*This house basically offers good value for money – it's both spacious and is located in a prime area.*

4. A new, unfurnished single-storey house in Chemor, Perak
**Area:** Close to convenience stores and fast food outlets and located about six minutes away from Chemor town.
**The property:** A four-bedroom, three-bathroom [house](http://www.mudah.my/Klebang+Putra+Rumah+Baru+Perak-55610196.htm) which has enough space to park two cars.
**Size:** 1,800 square feet
*The good thing about this property is that it is a brand new house, but note that while it may have four bedrooms, it might not be the most spacious space at only 1,800 square feet.*

5. This newly renovated house that's about 20 minutes away from Ipoh town
**Area:** Close to wet markets and eateries.

**Size:** 1,400 square feet

**Area:** A residential area, away from from town.

**Size:** 1,400 square feet
*The location is great for anyone looking for a quiet space.*

**Area:** Surrounded by eateries and convenience stores.

**Size:** 1,260 square feet
*Note that Semenyih Parklands is located about one hour away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, so it might not be the best choice for individuals who either work in town or make frequent trips there.*

*The room can be a good option for anyone that doesn't require much space and need daily access to public transportations.*
17. A medium room in Bangsar South

**Area:** The apartment is located in a prime area that's easily accessible with different modes of transport.

**Area:** The room is located at the popular, tourist hawker food street at Jalan Alor.
