HealthLand has announced that multiple outlets have been temporarily closed effective 16 August

According to a notice from the company, the closure is due to a legal compliance matter linked to Court Order No: BA-22NCC-159-08/2025, issued by the Shah Alam High Court on 14 August.

The closures follow a video statement released about 14 weeks earlier, in which HealthLand's management addressed rumours surrounding the chain

In the message, management claimed the company had faced "relentless sabotage" since early 2024, including:
– Paid protests staged outside outlets
– Threatening letters sent to staff by name
– Intimidation such as car vandalism and anonymous WhatsApp messages
– Death threats against employees and personal threats sent to management and their families

A company spokesperson alleged that the campaign was linked to a "carefully planned attempt to weaken the company and stage a hostile takeover".

A former director was reportedly arrested in March 2025 as part of an ongoing police investigation.

In that same video, HealthLand apologised to customers for the disruption caused by the closures and reassured package holders that all purchases would be honoured and extended

The company described the temporary closures as part of a broader restructuring, pledging to "rise again together" with employees and loyal customers.

Founded in 2013, HealthLand has positioned itself as a family wellness centre with dozens of branches nationwide.

It has previously highlighted its efforts to honour customer commitments, including extending more than 130,000 unredeemed hours of packages during the COVID-19 pandemic.
