Recently, Malaysian influencers and celebrities have been observed participating in a curious social stunt

There and then, they made the decision to stop filming entirely before going off-screen and abruptly ending the video with a signage urging viewers to engage in #JomKreatifPlaytime.

After leaving their audience curious, the influencers returned several days later to explain the reason for their behaviour: They decided that it was more important to spend time playing with their little ones!

While trying to film content for their social media, these celebrity parents — including Fizo Omar, Jeii Pong, Safwan Nazri, and Noor Nabila — were interrupted by their kids.

A recent survey* revealed that 1/3 of Malaysian parents spend only one to four hours per week on unstructured play with their kids — the equivalent of less than an hour per day!

Beyond the lack of bonding, this worrying trend could affect a child's development, as play is essential in building creativity, resilience, problem-solving skills, and social interactions.

Without enough play, kids might miss out on critical cognitive and life skills that shape their future.

And with screens increasingly replacing physical playtime, parents today need to make a conscious effort to ensure their children get the best start in life.

But where do they even start?

To support creative play between parents and children, Dutch Lady is introducing the 'Make Your Kid's World Happen' campaign

As Malaysia's leading Growing Up Milk brand, Dutch Lady hopes that the campaign, supported by the #JomKreatifPlaytime hashtag, will help nurture the spirit of creative play between parents and children.

With the help of Malaysian influencers and celebrities, the goal is to promote the kind of fun that nurtures a child's imagination, curiosity, and learning, all of which is supported by the right daily nutrition.

Dutch Lady's Growing Up Milk equips your kids with the 'Minda Cergas' advantage by giving them the freedom to experience the joys of creative playtime

Nutritional intake is closely linked to a child's ability to play creatively. That's why Dutch Lady Growing Up Milk plays an important role in providing the daily nutritional intake needed to support 'Minda Cergas'.

It has 5X DHA** to support brain development, helping children stay alert and focused in their activities. It also contains Vitamin C and D, as well as Iron*** to boost the body's defences.

With these essential nutrients, children will be able to learn better, explore more, and continue being creative — making playtime even more enriching.

If you want your kids to discover the joys of creative play, you can bring them along to Dutch Lady's grand creative playtime event happening in July!

As a way to inspire positive change and ignite the desire for more creative play moments between parents and children, Dutch Lady is holding a grand playtime event that will be open to everyone!

Dutch Lady 'Make Your Kid's World Happen' Event

Date: 19 July, 2025
Time: 3.30pm to 6pm
Location: Oval Lawn, Setia City Park, Shah Alam

Further details about the event will be shared on Dutch Lady's social media pages, so make sure to stay tuned!

At this event, you can bring your little ones along for a whole day of hands-on fun where you'll get to rediscover the joy of creative play

Creative playtime strengthens the parent-child bond while fostering cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Through storytelling, role-playing, and hands-on activities, children develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and creativity in a fun, supportive environment.

For example, parents can make playtime engaging by building blanket forts, acting out stories, or creating puppet shows with household items. Arts and crafts, dress-up games, and even messy outdoor play together turn everyday moments into imaginative, learning-filled experiences!

It's time to Make Our Kids' World Happen with Dutch Lady, so #JomKreatifPlaytime!
