Waiting at the airport can be a very boring affair.

But our neighbour, Singapore, seems to have found a solution to keep passengers entertained.

Last week, I visited the island nation and was surprised to find an arcade at Terminal 4 of Changi Airport.

There were two arcade machines at Gate 2, and they definitely helped passengers pass the time in an enjoyable way.

My friends and I played the classic run-and-gun game Metal Slug, which brought back a wave of nostalgia with its simple, old-school charm.

Below is a video of the arcade:

And that wasn't the only spot with arcade games.

According to Changi Airport's official website, there is a dedicated entertainment zone within the same terminal.

At Terminal 4, Level 2, near Gate G18, you'll find the Entertainment Corner.

Here, you'll find a mix of retro and modern favourites, including car racing arcade machines, Tetris, table football, Pac-Man, and more.

It's a great way to spend some quality time with family and friends during your layover.

Beyond games, Changi Airport also offers a variety of interactive attractions, such as a rock climbing wall, a 16m-tall play structure, a movie zone, and a four-storey-high slide

No wonder Changi Airport has consistently been ranked as the best airport in the world.
