A woman has gone viral for driving five hours a day between Cyberjaya and Bukit Kepong, Johor for work

In a TikTok video posted last week, Elle Eisha, 34, shared that her daily commute takes 2 hours and 30 minutes each way, a journey she makes five times a week.

She said the drive takes her through four states, covering nearly 400km daily, and admitted that "it is mentally and physically exhausting".

Responding to a netizen's comment, Elle said the petrol and toll costs add up to RM2,000 a month, excluding tyres, oil changes, and servicing.

Speaking to SAYS, Elle said she leaves Cyberjaya at 4.45am each day and returns home at around 2pm

When asked why she did not relocate closer to her workplace, she explained that she wanted to remain with her family in Cyberjaya.

"I was a teacher for five years, from 2013 to 2018, before resigning to run my own business.

"Last year, I decided to return, and I've now been in the job for six months. I understand that I can only request a transfer after completing two years of service," Elle said.

She added that even after spending over RM2,000 a month on travel, she still has enough to cover her living expenses.

Another netizen said, "I used to work in Muar. Every day, I commuted from Segamat for 10 years. It was a 160km round trip daily for a decade. I felt really exhausted."

"I have been doing this for two years: Puncak Alam, Selangor to Senawang, Negeri Sembilan," added another person.
