With SPM stories pouring in, one Malaysian dad couldn't help share a hilarious post comparing his son's exam results to his own

Facebook user Richard Nyam, a popular cooking content creator from Terengganu, recently shared photos of both his and his son's SPM results side by side.

He captioned it, "The difference cannot be any greater."

The close-ups show that Richard barely passed his exams 23 years ago, scoring 4D's and 1E, which meant he only achieved the minimum scores needed across five subjects

Some netizens even cheekily noted that back in Richard's time, subjects that were outright failed didn't even appear on the certificate — suggesting he may have failed a few more subjects than shown — which Richard good-naturedly confirmed in the comments.

Meanwhile, in contrast, his son, Zheng Sheng, absolutely aced the exam, impressively scoring straight A's across 10 Science stream subjects

He even scored A+ in Mathematics and Chemistry.

Netizens couldn't help laugh, but also congratulate Zheng Sheng for his hard work and praise Richard for successfully raising a smart and hardworking young man

"Congratulations! Salute on getting an A in Malay," said a Facebook user.

"Congratulations, Mr Richard, for successfully educating your child well. May he continue to succeed and be an example for our beloved country," said another.

"This father achieved success in a different way now. Congratulations on being able to motivate your son to get results like this. It's not easy, there must have been family sacrifices. An indescribable success," commended another.
