A group of Malaysians have touched hearts online after sharing before-and-after photos of stray cats they rescued from the streets
The thread was started by X user @alyaldnn, who invited the public to show photos of cats they had "picked up".
"Can I see your cats before and after? I want to see cats with sour faces, smelly, and then fat and chubby!
"The most important thing is adopt, don't shop!" she wrote.

The post garnered over 2,400 replies, with Malaysians proudly sharing photos of the cats they've saved and how much they've thrived in their new homes
Many of the cats featured were once injured, dishevelled, or malnourished. Today, they look healthier, happier, and well cared for after being showered with love and attention by their adopters.
The heartwarming photos have touched many Malaysians online, with netizens praising the owners and celebrating the transformation of the once-stray cats.

"I hope my post can open people's eyes to the fact that all stray babies deserve the same love as pedigree ones.
"In the right hands, even a 'basic' cat can become the best version of themselves if they are loved unconditionally. It's sad that some people still think strays don't deserve love and only belong on the streets," she said.
