A chill night out surrounded by animals? Sounds wholesome enough… until a capybara decides to make very intense eye contact with you.

TikTok user @_nik.sabrina was visiting 99 Wonderland Park, a night wildlife park in Kuala Lumpur, and was casually filming the capybara zone where the animals roam freely.

Everything was going exactly as expected at first — capybaras minding their own business, walking around, living their best calm, unbothered lives.

Then… it happened.

As she slowly pans her camera across the enclosure, one capybara suddenly comes into view — standing still and staring directly at her

Not a glance. Not a quick look. But a deep, unwavering stare that felt like it went straight through the screen and into her soul.

The timing couldn't have been better. While the other capybaras were busy doing normal capybara things, this particular one looked personally offended by the camera, as if silently asking, "Can I help you?"

Naturally, the Internet loved it, with some joking that it looked like it was asking if there were games on her phone

Another commented that perhaps it was asking for a tissue to wipe its 'leaky nose'.

As if the roles were reversed, the woman thought she was observing the animals, but clearly, the capybara was the one doing the observing.

99 Wonderland Park is known for its night-time animal encounters, where visitors can walk through zones featuring free-roaming animals under colourful lights

While most people go for the fun activities and cute animal sightings, this moment proved that sometimes, the animals have their own plans.

So if you're heading there anytime soon, enjoy the vibes, admire the animals, and maybe be prepared to accidentally lock eyes with a capybara who has seen things.
