OMG, the dinosaurs are invading Penang!

Well, not really… but close enough. Fulfilling the dream of dinosaur enthusiasts everywhere, the newly-opened Jurassic Research Centre in KOMTAR is now home to over 200 life-sized i.e. super massive dinosaur replicas!

Not only are they incredibly realistic, the dinosaurs – ranging from the terrifying T-Rex and flying Pterodactyl to the sky-high Brachiosaurus and bony-plated Stegosaurus – can actually move and roar!
Luckily, these guys are not sentient… so we'll definitely get out of there alive. :p

"Live" dinosaurs aside, the outdoor exhibition also features archaeology digs with half-unearthed, actual-size dinosaur fossils and eggs

You can also visit the smaller but equally impressive indoor exhibits and attractions, one of which involves a group of scientists trying to heal a "sick Stegosaurus"

Jurassic Research Centre is located on Level 5 in KOMTAR, Penang. Entrance fees are RM40 for adults and children above 130cm in height, and RM30 for children between 90cm to 130cm. Children below 90cm enter for free.
