Perhaps it's not unexpected given that Bukit Aman Director of Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) Datuk Seri Amar Singh Ishar Singh made a mention of an expensive custom-made handbag from The House of Bijan as one of the items seized in raids linked to Datuk Seri Najib Razak earlier yesterday, 27 June.
The Star Online reported today, 28 June, that the top search on Google Malaysia yesterday was the word 'Bijan'.
It's safe to say that many Malaysians are unfamiliar with the ultra luxurious brand.

Even a reporter asked Amar Singh during the press conference yesterday to spell out 'Bijan', just to be sure
As news about Bijan bags broke out, netizens took to Twitter to talk about their new discovery:
1. All they knew before this was that bijan didn't cost a bomb
Bijan means sesame in Malay.
2. Some might also recall that there's a popular restaurant in Jalan Ceylon, Kuala Lumpur that is called 'Bijan'

4. Many had an epiphany when they realised that Najib = Bijan
5. Unsurprisingly, some netizens have been using 'Bijan' in reference to Najib for years…
