A few days ago, drivers in Sabah were delighted (and slightly confused) when a tiny Christmas tree mysteriously appeared in the middle of a roundabout
It was adorable, festive, and propped up by two very practical bricks. Life was good.
But as it turns out, the story didn't end there
A Santa plushie appeared not long after.
TikTok user @annegelynne8 has been documenting the ongoing "roundabout renovations", and according to her, it all started with the lone mini tree.
Then, several days later — boom — a Santa plushie appeared beside it, like it had clocked in for duty.
However, on 9 December, @annegelynne8 posted an update that *gasp* Santa… was gone.
But in true Christmas-miracle fashion, something new had appeared
Right where Santa once stood was now a slightly bigger Christmas tree, fully decorated with tinsel and baubles, standing proudly next to the smol OG tree.
By 11 December… the smol tree had vanished.
The latest update showed that the original mini tree has now disappeared, leaving only the taller, upgraded tree in the middle of the roundabout.
Did the big tree absorb the small tree?
Did Santa take it?
Did someone promote the tree to a new location?
We don't know. But Sabah's anonymous festive decorator is really keeping everyone on their toes.
One thing's for sure: whoever is behind this has more dedication to spreading Christmas cheer than most of us who still haven't put up our own trees.
