But that doesn't mean fans of the fantasy drama series aren't still enthralled by certain aspects of it!
Anucha 'Cha' Saengchart, the visionary behind 'Lowcost Cosplay', was clearly inspired by the stunning visuals of some of the show's iconic scenes.

Here's how the low cost cosplayer made the most out of GoT's controversial season using everyday household items (and an adorable house pet):
1. Jon Snow and Rhaegal
With very little effort and a spoiled old sports shoe, Cha recreated the scene where Jon met one of Daenerys' deadly dragons.

As if that wasn't impressive enough, his "I know nothing" expression? Emmy Awards worthy.
2. Cersei Lannister and Qyburn
Who would've thought that all you needed to look like badass Season 8 Cersei was a blonde wig, black jacket, and a couple of menstrual pads.
Peep the bottles of condiments aka Queen's guards at the back!

Yep, you read that right! The cosplayer dirtied and cut up two sanitary pads to make shoulder pads similar to Cersei's brass ones.
As for the Hand of The Queen, some paint on Cha's fingers and a rough sketch on his palm did the trick.
3. Daenerys Targaryen and her horse

Surprisingly, it seems as though cosplaying as Daenerys Stormborn (of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons) was the easy part.
With the use of some markers, tape, and cloth, the talented cosplayer turned his right knee into the (Mad) Queen's trusty steed.

4. The Night King

He also used candy for those piercing blue eyes, because who needs expensive contacts!
Since the supreme leader of White Walkers first graced our screens, he has looked equal parts terrifying and indifferent.
In Cha's most elaborate 'Game Of Thrones' cosplay, he doused several keyboards with powder and hung them all over his body.
5. The Night King and his horse

Drawing a hyper realistic horse on his knee may have been a little too troublesome to do twice.
This could be why Cha enlisted the help of a furry friend to be act as the horse for the Night King.
A truly fearsome kitty! Can you even tell the difference?
6. A White Walker
With some blue paint, a bunch of cotton buds, and some cellophane tape, you too could look like a formerly-human ice creature.

They may not look identical, but they're both just as horrifying to look at.
