Happening from 12 to 14 September, Ombak is back for its second year — and it's going all out with a weekend of world-class music, food, art, and kid-friendly madness.
We're talking big names like Simply Red, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Joss Stone, and Flight Facilities on the main stage, plus a fire lineup of ASEAN artists repping every corner of Southeast Asia.
It's all happening at Desaru Coast, Johor — and yes, you can actually stay walking distance from the festival grounds.
From soulful legends to indie darlings and old-school hip-hop, there's gonna be something for every type of music lover
Phum Viphurit's dreamy indie pop? Check. Joe Flizzow and SonaOne dropping bars? Also check.
Add in some ska, funk, pop, disco, and a little electronic wizardry from Australia's Flight Facilities, and you'll be vibing from sunset to afterparty.
This year's lineup features 29 Southeast Asian acts including Indonesia's Diskoria, Singapore's The Pinholes, Cambodia's Vanthan, and Thai sweetheart Phum Viphurit
There's also a special spotlight on homegrown talent like Ismail Izzani, Kyoto Protocol, Masia One, and the legends at Gerhana Skacinta.
The food and arts programming are just as stacked. You'll find everything from open-fire grilling by Carbon KL, tapas from Chef Andrew Walsh's Sazón, and local favourites under the Flavours of Johor showcase.
And while you're sipping something cold, you can wander through upcycling workshops, block printing with Segaris Art Centre, and curated bazaars by Pasar Seloka.
Oh, and yes — there's even a mahjong lounge.
Pasar Seloka will be there with handmade goodies, unique crafts, and special finds.

Even the little ones have their own scene. Ombak Kids returns with puppet theatre, giant garden games, LEGOLAND speed challenges, and a funfair that feels straight out of a Wes Anderson dream.

The whole thing is set within Desaru Coast's luxury resort hub, which means you can stay at Hard Rock Hotel, The Westin, or even Anantara Villas — all within walking distance to the party
That means no stress about transport, no lugging your stuff through mud, and all the hotel comforts (hello, aircon and clean toilets) after a long night of dancing and makan-ing.
Early bird tickets are live — and they're a steal for a weekend this stacked.
You can grab a one-day pass from RM200, a two-day pass from RM550, or go all in for the three-day experience at RM650.
