The global wrestling community has expressed concern following the emergence of social media footage showing WWE icon John Cena walking with a stiff posture

The video, which has circulated widely on platforms such as X and TikTok, depicts the 48-year-old veteran slowly exiting a vehicle and walking with a noticeably stiff, hunched posture.

The video captured Cena tentatively stepping out of a car and moving with an awkward, laboured gait that could suggest joint or back discomfort.

Cena openly spoke about his fitness during his 2025 farewell campaign

He revealed that he can no longer perform the heavy lifts that once anchored his routine — such as 600lb (272kg) squats or 300lb (136kg) snatches — because his body is simply "too beat up".

Cena noted that continuing to compete at a full-time capacity would not only jeopardise his own health but also the safety of his opponents in the ring.

After the footage went viral, netizens voiced their concern for the legend's wellbeing

"And because of yeeting, they'll never leave you alone", a commenter said regarding the nature of professional wrestling and the tendency to throw oneself in the air.

"Wrestling is really tough and leaves long-term consequences," they added.

Another commenter pointed out Cena's highly developed build, saying that he should reduce his excessive muscle mass.

The overwhelming sentiment from the WWE Universe remains one of immense gratitude and respect

Fans have lauded Cena for his "Never Give Up" mantra, noting that while his spirit remains unbroken, age is an unforgiving force that is truly inevitable.
