K-pop star Hwasa from MAMAMOO has unintentionally boosted a Malaysian chocolate brand after revealing her love for Beryl's Classic Tiramisu Almond Chocolates during a recent livestream

During a live broadcast earlier this week, the South Korean singer shared her current snack obsession with fans, holding up a box of the chocolates and calling them "very delicious".

"This is chocolate from Malaysia. Jinjja neomu masisseoyo (It's so very delicious)," she said, proudly highlighting where the treat came from.

Hwasa also revealed that she first discovered the chocolates during her visit to Malaysia in January, and loved them so much that she bought several boxes home to share with friends.

Following clips of the livestream circulating online, more fans became curious and rushed to stores to buy some chocolate for themselves

However, several social media users shared that the product had already sold out at nearby stores, posting photos of empty shelves and sold-out listings on Shopee.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Hwasa has shown her love for the local brand

During her January visit to Malaysia, she also featured the chocolates in an Instagram carousel showing photos from her trip.

Hwasa was in Malaysia on 31 January to perform at the K-SPARK concert at Stadium Merdeka, which also featured major acts such as G-Dragon, ITZY, and DPR IAN.

Beryl's has since acknowledged the K-pop star's shoutout

In an Instagram post today, 16 March, the brand shared a photo of its Classic Tiramisu Almond Dark Chocolate with the caption: "The ones with good taste, know."

Some fans have since suggested that Beryl's consider making Hwasa their brand ambassador.
