Good news, Studio Ghibli fans!
The highly anticipated Symphonic Ghibli concert by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) sold out its first two shows in no time, and the overwhelming support called for more.
For those who missed out, six new dates have just been added in Kuala Lumpur.
The full lineup of shows is now:
- 3 July (Friday – sold out)
- 4 July (Saturday – sold out)
- 5 July 2026 (Sunday)
- 8 July 2026 (Wednesday)
- 9 July 2026 (Thursday)
- 10 July 2026 (Friday)
- 11 July 2026 (Saturday)
- 12 July 2026 (Sunday)
Under the baton of conductor Gerard Salonga, the MPO will bring your favourite Ghibli tunes to life with full orchestral flair
You can expect iconic tunes such as Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi's suites from My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away.
