If you're into discovering new Malaysian music before it blows up, this year's Jameson Distilled Sounds is one to watch
It returns with a fresh twist: five original tracks created by Malaysian artistes who were specially paired up for the project.
Instead of a quiet online release, each song will debut live on tour before everything culminates in a finale in Kuala Lumpur on 13 June.
Leading the charge is Saint Kylo, who's taking things full circle after representing Malaysia at Jameson Distilled Sounds in Ireland last year.

- Mister Two Five x Murty – Sweetside
- Laura Munan x Zekke – Silk
- LANG x JAIE – Fall Away
- Su San x Jeantonic – Never Quite Like You
- Jo Lixian x Q Sound – Think Too Much
Each song has its own personality, from laid-back R&B to indie-pop and darker electronic sounds, but the idea is the same: artistes stepping out of their usual lanes and meeting somewhere new.
The tour stops:
- 8 May — Lot.TwentyTwo (LANG x JAIE + special guest Crinkle Cut)
- 15 May — Luna Bistro (Jo Lixian + special guest Skipper)
- 22 May — Yue by Shill 90s (Laura Munan + special guest Soft Soft Pillow)
- 30 May — Asap by Lye (Mister Two Five x Murty + special guests TY:DEL)
- 5 June — Jao Tim (Su San x Jeantonic + special guests Mumbo Jumbo)

All five artistes will each take the stage for headline sets before coming together for a closing performance.
Headlining the night is Saint Kylo, who also hosts a digital series diving into the making of these tracks and behind-the-scenes studio moments.
