Event organiser Live Nation Malaysia has just dropped a random reel about the Backstreet Boys, and Malaysians are losing it
The video shows the boys performing at their recent show at the ultra-futuristic Sphere venue in Las Vegas, complete with laser lights, tight choreo, and full-on '90s boyband energy turned up to max.
The caption reads: "The Backstreet Boys brought the house down in Vegas with Millennium 2.0 – what an epic comeback! 🎤🔥
"Who else misses the Backstreet Boys era and can't wait to see them live again? ❤️"
And that's all it took. Malaysians have started spiralling like it was 1999.
It's been nearly a decade since the Backstreet Boys last performed here
The band last came in 2015, performing at Stadium Negara for their In A World Like This tour.
One of the members, Nick Carter, did return for a solo concert earlier this year.
There's no official tour announcement (yet), and the reel doesn't mention Malaysia specifically.
So for now… we wait. And keep our fingers crossed.
