RaceRoom, a premier destination for realistic racing simulation, has officially marked its grand re-launch in Bandar Sunway

This move is a clear step up from its previous location in Ara Damansara, which, while serving the community for years, was less suited for drawing large crowds and often faced parking constraints.

The new facility in Bandar Sunway has been redesigned with a focus on functionality and scale, featuring improved space utilisation for large events, a dedicated race control area for competitions, and a synchronised lighting system that adds to the immersive atmosphere.

At the core of the experience are its cutting-edge racing simulators, built to deliver maximum realism

Each rig is equipped with advanced motion platforms designed to fully immerse the driver, replicating the subtle and intense G-forces and vibrations of a real race track. This tactile feedback is perfectly complemented by massive, high-definition curved monitors that wrap around the driver's field of vision, creating a visual fidelity so realistic that drivers might genuinely forget they are not on a real circuit.

Force feedback (FFB) is a critical component of sim racing, and RaceRoom delivers an abundance of it through the high-end VRS DFP20 direct-drive wheel system.

While this professional-grade hardware is rated for a formidable maximum torque of 20Nm, RaceRoom has made a deliberate safety and accessibility choice. The hardware is expertly calibrated to run at a peak output of approximately 30% of its maximum torque. This careful setting ensures that all drivers — from absolute newcomers testing the waters to seasoned sim racing veterans — receive more than enough FFB for a deeply engaging experience, all without the risk of potential wrist or arm injury.

The steering wheel itself is a slightly modified version of the pro-grade Ascher Racing F28-SC V2, known for its precision and robust build quality.

To further solidify the feeling of sitting in a genuine race car, the rigs are fitted with wide, comfortable bucket seats. These seats provide excellent support and are designed to remain comfortable even during the most intense, heat-of-the-moment racing sessions.

RaceRoom Bandar Sunway boasts an impressive fleet of 20 individual racing simulators

This makes the venue incredibly versatile, capable of comfortably accommodating multiple small groups simultaneously or catering to large-scale corporate events and team-building exercises.

The facility's setup is ideal for organising multiplayer races, allowing customers to arrange a grid of anywhere from two drivers up to a full 20-car field, providing a genuine head-to-head racing experience.

The software library is equally vast, ensuring near-endless replayability. With over 200 meticulously modelled cars and hundreds of world-famous tracks to choose from, the potential combinations for unique races, championships, and challenges are virtually limitless.

Beyond casual sessions and organised group races, RaceRoom fosters a competitive community spirit by regularly organising high-level events

Most notably, they host structured two-hour endurance races, which are perfect for teams looking to test their collaboration, strategic pit stop timing, and long-run driving consistency against other serious competitors.

Enthusiasts looking for more information on these competitive events, registration details, and scheduling can find the latest updates and announcements on RaceRoom's official Instagram and Facebook pages.

RaceRoom is open to the public daily, including public holidays

The venue is open from 10am to 12am. Prices begin at RM30 for a 10-minute session, offering a quick and affordable entry point for a taste of the action.

For group competitions, prices start from RM60 per person for organised multiplayer sessions.
