Registrations for the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia (PESCM) 2026 has finally opened
Entering its third year, the premier digital racing tournament continues to bridge the gap between virtual simulation and real-world motorsport.
This year's competition marks a significant milestone with the debut of the "Female Dreamers" category — a dedicated segment designed to encourage and highlight women's participation in the local esports scene.
The introduction of an all-female category reflects a broader industry trend towards inclusivity in competitive gaming, mirroring similar initiatives at global championships such as the FIA Motorsport Games. Participants in this category will compete alongside the established Pro and Rookie classes, ensuring that the tournament caters to a wide spectrum of skill levels across the country.

Aspiring racers will once again take to the virtual track using the Assetto Corsa platform, piloting a digital recreation of the formidable Porsche 911 GT3 Cup
Departing from the traditional online format, the tournament will now begin with a series of high-stakes, in-person qualifying events across the country.
These roadshows offer aspiring racers the chance to prove their skills on professional simulators in a live environment.
It starts at Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur on 18–19 April, followed by Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru on 25–26 April, and concluding at Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang on 2–3 May.

From these initial roadshows, the top 30 drivers from each category at each location will advance to Qualifying 2, which takes the competition into Porsche Centres nationwide.
The competition intensifies in Qualifying 3, where the 10 fastest drivers from each Porsche Centre will converge at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on 4–5 July. This semi-final round will determine the elite group of racers who move on to the grand finale.
The stakes reach their peak on 22–23 August, as the top 10 finalists head to the Petronas Sepang International Circuit. In a thrilling conclusion, the final will take place in tandem with Rounds 9–11 of the real-world Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA), bridging the gap between virtual and professional motorsport.

One exceptional driver has made the leap from virtual to real racing, using PESCM as a stepping stone
Naquib Azlan, 26, has officially entered professional motorsport.
Following a dominant victory in last year's PESCM Driven Dreamers category, Azlan successfully navigated a rigorous driver's assessment to secure a coveted spot in the PCCA Talent Pool programme.

For the 2026 season, Naquib is taking on a full-season entry in the high-stakes Pro category under Team Porsche Malaysia, in collaboration with Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) and Axle Motorsports, positioning him directly against the region's elite professional drivers.
