When we heard that Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill had launched a new breakfast menu, we knew we had to check it out. The promise? "The art of breakfast, perfected."

This isn't your typical hotel buffet. It's à la carte, curated with precision, and open to both hotel guests and curious walk-ins like us who wanted to see what happens when one of the world's most recognisable chefs takes on the humble morning meal.

Hotel guests get to select one dish from the 'Classics & Pastries' section and another from the 'Eggs' section as part of their room booking. For walk-in guests, there's an extended à la carte menu.

Spoiler: it's a posh, polished affair, but one that still has room for a good ol' sausage.

We kicked things off with Energiser Shots, and they did exactly what was promised

My pick was the Lemony Beet, a zingy mix of beetroot, green apple, and lemon that's sure to wake you up. It's a bright, punchy start that sets the tone for what's to come.

If you're not a beetroot person, try the Wake Me Up, a classic mix of orange, lemon, and young ginger.

Drinks-wise, they've thought of everything: from velvety flat whites and fruity, berry teas, to Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne, Andreola Extra Dry Prosecco, Mimosas, and the classic Bloody Mary.

Do note that while Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill is not halal-certified as they serve alcoholic beverages, all their food is sourced from halal-certified vendors and is pork-free.

Next came the savoury plates. I ordered Eggs Royale, while my colleague had their signature Classic English Breakfast.

The Eggs Royale pairs poached eggs with smoked salmon and velvety hollandaise on soft muffins. It's a staple, sure, but this version was elegant and comforting. No surprises here, just quality ingredients done well.

Meanwhile, the Classic English Breakfast arrived with one sunny-side egg, beef sausages, beef bacon, baked beans, and a large portobello mushroom. The sausages were gloriously juicy and fat, and as you would expect of a restaurant that prides itself on its meats, they stole the show. Hearty, meaty, and satisfying, this one's perfect if you like your mornings with a bit more substance.

By this point, we were already feeling like stuffed sausages, but we were only halfway through our breakfast.

A Lobster Thermidor Muffin, which we hadn't ordered, arrived at our table — an unexpected surprise from the kitchen

The dish included sweet, juicy chunks of Boston lobster, topped with a poached egg, generous spoonfuls of Caviar, and gold leaves. It was rich, well-balanced, and indulgent in the best way. Definitely one to order if you're feeling a little bougie.

After all that savoury goodness, we moved on to the sweet dishes

While waiting for our order, we caught sight of the pancakes making their way to the table next to us and immediately got food envy. Thick, golden, and fluffy, stacked with cream and berries, I can imagine they'd definitely be a hit with kids (and kids at heart).

Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill's Chia Seed Bowl and Cinnamon Brioche French Toast.

I ordered the Chia Seed Bowl and I genuinely loved it. It was refreshing and light, with a creamy oatmeal base, perfectly soaked chia, and colourful pops of sweetness from the fresh fruit and honey. The toasted almonds added a lovely crunch. Healthy breakfasts don't always hit the mark, but this one? A winner.

Last but certainly not least was the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast. Topped with maple syrup and orange mascarpone, the toast was soft, warm, and truly comforting. Hands down the fanciest, most indulgent French toast I've ever had.

Breakfast at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill isn't about reinventing the wheel; it's about taking the classics and polishing them up to make them feel special

From the chia bowl to the luxurious lobster muffin, there's a little something for everyone, whether you're into clean eating or morning decadence.

It's definitely not your average breakfast outing. But if you're in the mood to treat yourself (or someone special), it's worth waking up early for.
