What started as a small pop-up with massive queues is now turning into something much bigger
Ming Chun's viral food project, Gepuklah, is officially opening its first permanent restaurant this June.
The announcement came straight from Ming Chun himself, who shared that after "a very very busy month," he's decided to put down his life savings to rent and renovate a shop.
The new space will also be built together with their good friend, Leonard Mak, known online as @leonardbuilds, who will be handling the renovation.
Gepuklah first began as a pop-up stall in April at a café in Petaling Jaya, quickly attracting long queues of customers
It later moved to Factory 19 during a food event, where things continued to escalate.
Some fans even reported waiting between three to five hours just to get a plate of ayam gepuk.
Alongside his signature boneless ayam gepuk, Ming Chun also serves smoked duck gepuk and crispy oyster mushroom gepuk, offering a fun twist on the familiar spicy, crispy comfort dish

No exact opening date or location for his restaurant has been confirmed yet.
However, some eagle-eyed netizens suspect it could be somewhere in Damansara Jaya based on the post.
