A New Zealand mother, Gabrielle Wall, has sprinted into Internet history by enduring what many parents consider a universal nightmare: running barefoot on LEGOs for 100m
This wasn't just for bragging rights, however. The track was built from an impressive 300kg of LEGO bricks, all donated by the New Zealand charity Imagination Station.
Wall dashed across the painful course in a blistering 24.75 seconds, a time fast enough to secure the official Guinness World Record for the fastest 100m barefoot on LEGO bricks. Guinness World Records is home to many bizarre achievements, but few carry the same relatable sting as running across sharp plastic bricks with no shoes.

Although Wall set the record in January, her achievement only went viral months later after Guinness shared the video on social media
The clip quickly became a sensation, garnering 10 million views on Instagram and six million on TikTok as viewers were amazed by her speed and her ability to endure the pain.
Her feat even caught the attention of brands, with Adidas jokingly offering to give her shoes for her next attempt. Other online comments included humorous remarks, calling the challenge "an average Tuesday night at bedtime".
While some tried to downplay the record, arguing that running on a whole track of LEGOs wasn't the same as stepping on a single brick, the fact remains that this is one record few competitors are rushing to break.
