Viral MOF Post Reveals 10 Benefits M40 Can Expect Next Year

The Finance Ministry (MOF) has revealed that 10 benefits Malaysians in the middle 40% (M40) group will receive next year under Belanjawan 2026
In a Facebook post yesterday, 21 October, the ministry said the government will continue to safeguard the wellbeing of the M40 group through financial aid and subsidies, individual tax exemptions, and streamlined procedures for eligible individuals to perform the Hajj.
At the time of writing, the post has garnered over 1,300 likes and 885 shares.
Here are the benefits:
1 . RM100 SARA for all

2. Targeted electricity subsidy
85% of consumers are not affected by the electricity tariff increase, with some even enjoying a bill reduction.
3. Income tax relief for vaccination expenses

Image via New Straits TimesReceive income tax relief of up to RM1,000 on vaccination expenses approved by the Health Ministry for self, spouse, or child.
4. Income tax relief for early childhood education
Receive income tax relief of up to RM3,000 on fees for sending children aged up to 12 years to registered dayxcare centres or transit centres.
5. Income tax relief for rehabilitation treatment of children with learning disabilities

Image via New Straits TimesThe income tax relief limit will be raised to RM10,000 for rehabilitation treatments for children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and specific learning disabilities.
6. Income tax relief for insurance or Takaful premiums
The scope of relief for life insurance premium payments or life takaful contributions will be expanded to include children.
7. Preschool aid for all students
A RM150 preschool aid will be given to all students regardless of parents' income. RM800 million is allocated for this.
8. RM4,000 grant to replace old cars exceeding 20 years

Owners of cars exceeding 20 years are offered a RM4,000 grant to purchase a new national car.
9. First home stamp duty exemption
First-time homebuyers will continue to receive full exemptions on the Memorandum of Transfer (MOT) and loan agreement for homes priced up to RM500,000. The initiative will be extended to 31 December 2027.
10. Employees Provident Fund (EPF) withdrawal limit for Hajj is increased
